About the Cafe

The Phabulous cafe opened in 2021 and is based in Leigh-on-Sea. The cafe is a training centre for people with disabilities. It provides people with the opportunity to gain experience and confidence in a supportive setting. Trainees and volunteers learn a variety of practical and social skills that will make them an asset to any workforce.

Outcomes of the Cafe

To promote independence - this also includes recognising when to ask for support
To provide meaningful work experience for people who are seeking work but have faced barriers due to disability
To provide assistance to trainees in finding employment
To provide a platform where people with additional needs can showcase their skills and reduce sterotypes
